Jay’s song hits top of iTunes chart

A song about superstar Celtic fan Jay Beatty has spiralled to the top 100 downloads on the iTunes chart.

The song ‘Wee Jay Celtic Bhoy’ was released last week on iTunes and has already proved a big hit.

Costing just 99p to download, all the monies raised are going straight to the charity Downs & Proud.

Jay’s dad Martin said the song sums up Jay and his love of Celtic.

“We are so grateful to all who have made this possible it is hard to believe that our son has a song written about him and we are just so proud of him,” said Martin.

The song was written by popular group Charlie and the Bhoys who set up a YouTube page to help preview the song.

Jay returned from Spain last night where the 11-year-old received an award in Barcelona.
