Keith (5) gets top award Down Under

Former Lurgan resident Kieran McPartlan who currently lives in Australia has voiced immense pride at his son’s recent award.

Mr McPartlan, who had been a priest for some years in St Peter’s Parish, is currently living in New South Wales.

He is now married to Dara and the couple have two children, Keith and Kyle.

Keith recently received an award for a local history prize. He was deemed to have the “Most Outstanding Effort” in the 2013 Ron Rathbone Junior History Prize,Primary School Category by Rockdale City Council on 14th Sept 2013.

Keith is five and a half years and he is a kindergarten student in St Patrick’s Primary School in Kogarah NSW Sydney.

His entry was entitled “My Favourite Parish”-St Mary MacKillop’s Parish Rochdale City.

Kieran has been living in Australia for many years since leaving the priesthood but still keeps in contact with his many friends in the Lurgan area and neighbouring parishes.
