A Lurgan man will be sentenced at the end of November on charges of possessing offensive weapons.
Forty five year old Ian Roland, Glenfield Road, Lurgan, admitted possession of a screwdriver and a wooden stick on September 21.
A solicitor for Roland said he had severe alcohol problems. He had called 999 to say there were people after him in his house.
He believed that there was someone in his home and he needed protection.
The offences were borne out of alcohol addiction.
“On the night in question he would have been more of a danger to himself than anybody else,” said the solicitor.
District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, adjourned the case until November 29 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
