After he was stopped for driving erratically a blood test revealed that a Waringstown man had a number of drugs in his system, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Friday.
Alexander Follis (21) of Main Street was fined £150 and banned for 12 months for driving while unfit.
The court heard that on January 7 police stopped a car being driven erratically on the Cornakinnegar Road.
A blood test revealed a number of drugs in Follis’s system. His barrister said he accepted he should not have been driving. He had taken some diazepam.
She said the defendant was the main carer for his father and would now have to rely on public transport and taxis.
District Judge Mervyn Bates said there were a number of matters in the test and not just diazepam.
