‘A loving husband and father, son and brother’ - the words describing Lurgan firefighter Nial Hamilton at his funeral on yesterday (Thursday).

Hundreds of mourners gathered at St Michael’s Church in Trory, Enniskillen for Mr Hamilton’s funeral.

He died suddenly after tackling a car fire in Lurgan’s Kilwilkee estate last week.

Police outriders and two fire appliances led the large cortege from the family home in Rossole Road to the rural church where an address was relayed to those unable to find a seat beside the building.

The 44 year old married father of two had collapsed after tackling a burning car in the town’s Kilwilkee estate on Monday night.
