A Lurgan man was caught growing cannabis plants in his home, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Friday.
He was 40 year old Brian Michael Heaney, Richmount Gardens, Lurgan, and he was fined £200 for cultivating the plants on May 23 this year.
Heaney was also given conditional discharges for 12 months for possession of the cannabis and criminal damage to Housing Executive property on the same date.
Police found a number of plants and Heaney said he had grown them for his own personal use. There had been damage caused to the property.
Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said the damage had been repaired to the satisfaction of the Executive.
He added that some of the plants were grown and some were in their infancy. It was a small scale operation.
