Limb restraints and handcuffs had to be used to arrest a Lurgan man who later spat and urinated in a police cell, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last week.

Twenty-one-year-old Blaine McDonald, Mark Street, Lurgan, admitted disorderly behaviour, resisting a constable and damaging a police cell on March 2 this
year.

He was sentenced to 100 hours community service.

The court heard the defendant was stopped by police in Charles Street after he was seen acting suspiciously.

The case had been adjourned from a previous court for a pre-sentence report.
