In light of the recent spate of suicides in the borough an information evening will be held at the end of January in the civic centre.
Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Mark Baxter is holding the event to raise awareness of mental health and suicide.
Bringing together a variety of agencies and organisations working in this difficult field, the evening aims to raise more awareness and extend a helping hand to those who may need information and assistance for themselves, family member or friend.
There will be some expert speakers including Dr Arthur Cassidy who will bring professional advice, guidance and experience to the event while several other speakers will talk about their own personal experiences in dealing with mental health issues.
Cyber bullying will also be on the agenda with a talk by MP David Simpson followed by a sketch on cyber bullying by Moyraverty Arts and Drama group.
There will also be information stands set up by the appropriate organisations that will provide essential help and information.
The event takes place on Thursday, January 30 at 7.30pm in Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre.
