Man pleads guilty to charges

A man has pleaded guilty at Craigavon Crown Court to making and possessing pornographic pictures of children.

Jonathan James Gentle’s (23) from Castlehill, Dungannon, indicated at the start of his trial on Monday that he would like to be re-arraigned.

He pleaded guilty to 26 offences between 2009 and 2010. Twenty one of the charges, making indecent photographs of children, took place in the Craigavon jurisdiction.

He also admitted having 680 indecent photographs of children in the Craigavon district in 2010 and 181 indecent photographs in the Ards district.

The case was adjourned until January 21 next year for pre-sentence reports.

Gentle was granted bail with the condition that he found a bail address deemed suitable by police.
