The town centre will be full of fun-filled festivities as the Christmas holiday draws closer. Santa and Mrs Claus will be cosying up in their living room on the plaza from 10am-4pm to hear all last minute wishes from children across the borough and beyond.

The Santa visit is free and parents will be encouraged to take magical pictures on their smart phones while each child will receive a chocolate lolly, handcrafted by Lurgan based company, Cirillo. A queuing system will be in operation.

The Downshire Brass Band will be entertaining the crowds with yuletide classics from 10am-12noon while Elvin the Elf showcases his amazing stilt walking skills.

From 1pm to 3pm the South Ulster Community Band will be taking centre stage playing a wide range of wonderful music while a range of street entertainment including face-painting and balloon modelling will keep all your little ones entertained.

What better way to spend the day when you can park for free while checking out all of Lurgan’s unique boutiques, high street shops, delicious eateries and much more.

Lurgan has so much to offer and the free car parking will help local traders boost their footfall and turnover and encourage people across the borough and beyond to experience the festive season in a new & improved Lurgan town centre.”
