‘Person to be Proud Of’ nominations

This week is the last chance to nominate a ‘Person to be Proud Of’ from your local community. Is there somebody in and around the Lurgan/Craigavon area that goes that extra mile to care for a friend or is there a neighbour that got up early during the snowy weather to clear the road for everyone?

Local natural gas supplier, firmus energy, is once again supporting the ‘Person to Be Proud Of’ competition, allowing all the exceptional people in communities across Northern Ireland to be recognised.

Angeline Sloan for firmus energy said, “We would urge all readers to have a think about the people in their communities – is there someone that goes out of their way to help others and deserves a special thank you?

“As a company we have a strong focus on giving back to our local communities. We are currently preparing to run the relay race in the Belfast Marathon for our chosen charity, CLIC Sargent, and have a number of volunteering projects in the pipeline.

“It is a very important part of our business and our employees love getting involved at a very local level. In doing so, we regularly see and meet many ‘shining stars’ throughout Northern Ireland and it is those people whom we hope will be nominated for the ‘Person To Be Proud Of’ competition.”

Time is running out to nominate a ‘person to be proud of’ so submit your suggestion today by emailing news@lurganmail.co.uk

With over 66,000 customers across Northern Ireland, firmus energy employs around 90 people in its Antrim headquarters and invests heavily in its teams.

In 2013, firmus energy brought natural gas to a number of new areas including Bushmills, Bessbrook and Ballyclare and hopes to bring the low-cost, environmentally-friendly, practical fuel to even more homes and businesses throughout 2014 and beyond.

Householders and businesses along the natural gas pipeline which are interested in finding out more about converting to natural gas, can visit www.firmusenergy.co.uk or call 08456 08 00 88.
