Police investigate two burglaries

Detectives in Lurgan are appealing for information following two burglaries in the area on Wednesday, July 16.

At approximately 9am it was reported that a group of males attempted to enter a house at Gilpin Park, Dollingstown. They were disturbed by the homeowner and made off empty handed.

Sometime between 9.30am and 10am a house in the Clare Road area of Waringstown was entered and a number of items stolen from the property.

A number of items believed to have been taken from the property were discovered in a laneway off the Bluestone Road in Craigavon on Wednesday afternoon.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incidents or anyone who was in the area during Wednesday and noticed anything out of the ordinary to contact detectives at Lurgan Police Station on the non-emergency number, 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
