THE PSNI believe reports of a suspicious object in Craigavon was an attempt to lure police to the area.

Police confirmed that no suspicious object was found in the Tullygally area, close to Lismore Comprehensive.

The security alert began just as children were leaving school and part of the area had been sealed off.

One police vehicle has had a window smashed when responding to this incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are investigating the possibility that this was an attempt to lure police into the area.

The alert is now over and the area clear.
