Boy (9) hurt in hit-and-run

A NINE-year-old boy has been hurt in a hit and run collision in Lurgan.

The child, who was a pedestrian, was hit by a white van in Albert Street.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon at around 4.25pm.

According to police the white transit van which was towing a trailer didn’t stop and drove into William Street.

The PSNI said the boy suffered a head injury which required medical treatment, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are appealing to the driver of the van or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them in Lurgan on 0845 600 8000.
