UNITED Christian Aid have thanked all those who donated to the their street collection in the town centre on Christmas Eve.

The Hill Street charity raised a massive £12,090 for its mission in Moldova.

“I want to thank with all my heart everyone who donated to the collection,” she said.

“Every penny of this money will go towards helping children in one of the poorest parts of the world.

“I would particularly want to praise my grandson Andrew, who dressed up as Santa on the occasion.”
