Family search

Hi, I am researching in Lurgan, my McCaveney family connections.

John & Mary McCaveney, according to the 1901 census were living at 80 Avenue Road along with their six daughters; Jane, Margaret, Mary, Amy, Annie and Elizabeth. Circa 1901/2 the family moved to Belfast where the only son Thomas was born in 1904.

Jane, Annie and Elizabeth went to New Zealand. Margaret, remained in Northern Ireland and married a George Baird. Daughters Mary and Amy died 1903 (Mary) and 1918 (Amy).

Both the parents died in Belfast - Mary 1905 and John 1909.

Can anyone help with who may have taken the three younger chidren in? Later Thomas also went to New Zealand but is believed to have gone to Australia from New Zealand. Does anyone know about him and his family.

I believe that the house in Avenue Road was demolished to make way for an entrance to Lurgan lake? If this is correct what year were the houses demolished?

Does anyone have a copy of a photograph of same please? Any help appreciated. Thankyou Merle.
