Meeting to explain the new benefit changes

A MEETING is to be held for carers to explain the major changes to disability benefits following concerns from parents of children at Ceara School in Lurgan.

The meeting is to explain the changes to DLA and the introduction of the Personal Independent Payment.

Any person currently in receipt of benefits for a young person 16 plus with a disability is invited to attend to hear how they will be affected.

The meeting will take place on Monday, January 14 at 10.30 am in Quaker Buildings, Lurgan.

Karl Ludlow from the Department of Social Development will be present to answer questions.
