Pub set to rise from the ashes

THE Village Inn in Waringstown is to reopen.

The pub has been bought by a former owner and the ‘MAIL’ understands he plans to reopen it as a ‘one room bar’ to begin with.

The Village Inn had been vacant since the bar, lounge and adjoining residential premises were extensively damaged in an arson attack in July 2009.

The new landlord confirmed a lot of work needed to be done following the fire but said he was looking forward to opening the doors of the Village Inn again.
