Slimming group to launch at LRC
LOCAL slimmers at Lurgan Rugby Club are on a mission to help people in their community to lose weight after a new survey found that 77 per cent of people think that obesity is ‘a national crisis’ and 79 per cent want to slim down themselves.
The Slimming World group will begin at the Rugby Club on Tuesday (February 14) and will run for 12 weeks.
“It’s telling that so many people in Lurgan see obesity as a national crisis,” said Debbie Scott, Slimming World Consultant in the rugby club group.
“And it’s no surprise that so many people want to lose weight. When you’re feeling down about your size it can take over every aspect of your life, from your health and happiness to your work and relationships.”
During the ‘Let’s Beat It Together’ campaign anyone who joins their local Slimming World group between February 13 and February 25 and buys a 12-week Countdown to take part in the challenge will get free membership worth £10 plus two weeks free worth £9.90 – a total saving of £19.90.
