Teen punched in jaw by mobile phone thieves

A TEENAGER was punched in the jaw by two men who jumped out of a white van in an attack which took place close to Lismore Comprehensive.

The incident took place last Thursday around 5pm when the nineteen-year-old was walking along a path, leading from Clonmeen to Taghnevan, when two males exited the vehicle and ran towards the victim.

He was subsequently pushed from behind and punched to the jaw after falling to the ground. His Blackberry mobile phone was taken.

The assailants made off on foot towards Clonmeen.
