Time to Talk with Rebecca Wylie
THIS week the 'MAIL' caught up with young drama queen, Rebecca Wylie.
Rebecca will perform as Isis, captain of East Compton Clovers, in the Moyraverty Arts and Drama (MADS) production of 'Bring it On', starting on June 13.
The 15-year-old Lurgan College student has a passion for drama and hopes to one day study at a performing arts college in London.
She has performed in a number of talent shows, last year she starred in Lurgan Junior High's production of 'Calamity Jane'.
This is the first time she has performed with MADS having only joined in the past year, she said: "I have all my lines learned but the choreography is taking a little longer to pull together.
"The show is all about American high school girls competing in cheerleading completions so there are a lot of dance moves to learn.
"This is the first time I have had to dance properly in a show, I think it will help me develop as an actor and improve my abilities.
"I have not been part of the MADS for too long but they have made me feel so welcome - it feels like I have been a part of the group for ages."
Rebecca has her sights set on a West End stage show, 'The Sound of Music' being her preferred choice or even a starring role in an American sitcom.
She is a member of Banbridge Amateur Swimming Club, Knocknamuckley Girls Brigade and plays hockey for Lurgan College.
