Top award for Rowandale

ROWANDALE Integrated Primary School in Moira have been successful in gaining the International School Award 2012 - 2015 awarded by the British Council.

Teachers Judith Auten and Gail Bennett travelled to Sri Lanka exchanging with a teacher from Pemerathana School who also spent time at Rowandale.

The two schools have been linked with each other for two years.

Gail and Judith shared life in Northern Ireland with pupils, staff and families. They taught the children about traditions, food and Eco activities here.

The International School Award is an accreditation scheme for curriculum-based international work in schools.

The scheme provides recognition for teachers and their schools working to instill a global dimension into the learning experience of all children and young people.
