After celebrating his birthday a 30-year-old man decided to go for a drive but was caught for driving with excess alcohol.
Marian Petro, Oakvale, Craigavon, was fined £120 and banned for 12 months for the offence last Wednesday at the local magistrates court.
He was stopped at 12.35am on April 27 while driving in Tavanagh Avenue, Portadown. An evidential test gave a reading of 52.
A solicitor for Petro said he had been celebrating his birthday and had been drinking in the house. He added the defendant got in the car because he took a notion to drive.
