MLA fears '˜democracy may be damaged' if electoral office closes
A motion has been tabled to highlight concerns about the proposed closure of the local electoral office for Upper Bann.
DUP MLA Sydney Anderson said: “This is an issue that impacts locally upon Upper Bann because of proposal to close the Banbridge office.”
Mr Anderson said that if the planned closure takes place, he is ‘fearful that democracy could be damaged.”
