Robbery at Belfast Road in Dollingstown

Police are investigating a robbery in Dollingstown which happened yesterday (Tuesday, July 26)

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the robbery of commercial premises in the Belfast Road area of the village.

Detective Constable Kelly Foley said; “It was reported that sometime around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 26th July, two males entered the forecourt of the premises on a black motorbike, wearing black motorbike clothing and helmets. One of the males entered the shop with a handgun and a sum of money was taken. The males then made off in the direction of Cottage Road.

“I am appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or anyone who has information about the incident to contact detectives Reactive and Organised Crime at Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 978 of 27/07/2016.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
