Seamus William Belshaw, Drumbeg, Craigavom, was also fined £300 for the offence.

In addition Belshaw was fined £100 and banned concurrently for nine months for driving without a supervisor and not displaying ‘L’ plates.

His defence said the defendant had missed his lift for work and foolishly took his vehicle.
