Missing girl found in town

A 17 year old girl who went missing from a care home was found at an address in Lurgan, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Friday.

Twenty one year old Conor James McConville, of Derry Street, Lurgan, admitted unlawfully keeping a child in care away from a responsible person on July 6.

He was put on probation or 12 months and ordered to do 100 hours community service.

The court heard that police searched an address in Lurgan and found the girl who had gone missing from a care home.

The court heard that the two young people were in a relationship which was now over.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said the circumstances were different from the norm.
