Moira Baptist Church is going down on the farm this weekend with a John Deere event

Tractor and machinery enthusiasts are invited to the free event which looks at the agricultural brand in great detail.

Kicking off at 6.30pm at Moira Baptist Church, Clarehill Road, Moira on Saturday, September 26 the evening begins with a machinery viewing and free barbecue.

Guest speaker George Conn will deliver a history of John Deere at 7.30pm from a farming/engineering perspective.

There will be a range of vintage, classic and modern John Deere tractors and harvest machinery on view at the event.

These include a JD 7290 with triple mowers, a JD 7750 self-propelled harvester and a range of other modern John Deere tractors with various implements to vintage tractors from the early 1900s kindly supplied by Johnston Gilpin and other local farmers in the surrounding area.

A new John Deere combine will also be on show.
