An additional £30,000 funding to complete out on the world class American Museum has been secured.

Welcoming the move local DUP MP David Simpson and the party’s group leader on Council, Carla Lockhart said: “This brings the total investment to £131.5k from Craigavon Borough Council and we are pleased that our hard work, and strong lobby has paid off.”

Mr Simpson added: “I have been working closely with my colleague Alderman Carla Lockhart and Phil Moutray in securing this money for Brownlow House. An additional £31.5k will see the tourism initiative finished off to a world class standard and one that will act as a magnet towards drawing down additional funding in future for the restoration of the family wing within the main body of the House. This is a win for the people of Lurgan.”

Ald Lockhart said, “I would like to thank the Council members who supported this quest when it was brought to the floor of the chamber and would like to thank the Mr David Martin and Mr Sam McCleary who are members of the Friends of Brownlow House group who have worked tirelessly with us to design and deliver this project.”
