Mourners pay respects to Lurgan scrap dealer Arthur Gentle

Arthurs funeral has taken place from his home in Lurgan then on to  St Peters church Lurgan, Co Armagh.  The much loved great great grandfather  was well known all over Ireland and beyond. Well-known scrap dealer Arthur Gentle has been laid to rest after a funeral in Lurgan.

Mr Gentle, who died at Craigavon Area Hospital on April 20, was the husband of the late Margaret, of William Street.

A large number of mourners from far and wide paid their respects as Mr Gentle’s coffin was carried in a horse-drawn procession through the town.

The funeral was from his late home to St Peter’s Church for Requiem Mass. Interment took place in St Colman’s Cemetery.

A great, great grandfather, Mr Gentle was the father of Bridget, Ann, Arthur, Ada, Teresa, Agnes, Linda, Caroline and Isobel and the late Freddie and Ben.
