Moy Park are investing £4 million in their facilities at Seagoe Industrial Estate to enhance their ‘ready to eat’ cooked chicken production.

This latest investment will see advanced, continuous, in-line oven cooking and chilling technology installed and will also deliver energy and process efficiencies.

According to Moy Park, the ‘ready to eat’ cooked chicken category represents a key growth area and the investment will position it for further innovation and growth.

Keith Irvine, Moy Park’s supply chain director, said, “Moy Park is committed to growing the business through investment in both our industry leading farming and operational facilities.

“This investment further cements the company’s position as one of the most advanced producers of ‘ready to eat’ products in the UK and Europe as it enhances our ability to satisfy consumer demand for increasingly innovative, healthy, convenient and tasty products.”

The development at Craigavon follows a £20 million investment in Moy Park’s Dungannon facility announced in late 2015. The Dungannon investment significantly increased production, delivered technology advancements and efficiencies, and also created an enhanced working environment for staff.

Moy Park are the biggest poultry meat producer in Northern Ireland and one of the 15 biggest food companies in the UK.

They have 14 processing and manufacturing units across the European Union.
