O’Dowd thanked for his support

THE Corey family have issued a statement thanking John O’Dowd for his efforts in securing Martin Corey’s temporary parole to attend his brother’s funeral.

They said: “The Corey family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to John O’Dowd MLA and Raymond McCartney MLA for their efforts in obtaining parole for Martin and for providing the family with the opportunity to be together for the funeral of their late brother Peter.

“ We appreciate that, by offering to accompany Martin at very short notice, they had to rearrange their schedules and cause disappointment to others.

“ The entire family greatly appreciate the efforts made by John and Raymond, and thank them for the compassion they have shown to our family.”
