Questions for Dobson on parking

The recent news item carried by the Lurgan Mail regarding the hated increased car parking charges in the town made for quite bizarre reading. Your report informed us that UUP MLA Jo-Anne Dobson who also happens to be ministerial assistant (ie Junior Minister) to Danny Kennedy who is the DRD Minister imposing these charges, is now to bring Minister Kennedy to Lurgan to discuss the situation with local traders and politicians.

The question that we all ought to get an answer to in this is – to what end? For what purpose? Is Mrs Dobson bringing her boss, the parking charges minister to Lurgan to urge him to scrap these charges, or is she bringing her boss the parking charge Minister to Lurgan to pat local people on the head and smooth down criticism of these charges?
