Pay money or go to jail judge tellsteenager
A young man has been warned if he does not have compensation money with him the next time he is in court he will go to prison.
Cathal Brankin (19), whose address was given to the court as Park Road, Portadown, admitted criminal damage to a car window on June 30 this year.
A barrister representing the defendant told Craigavon Magistrates Court last Wednesday that the cost to repair the damage came to £213 and £40 had been paid.
District Judge Mrs Bernie Kelly adjourned the case until October 19.
She told Brankin that if he did not have any money with him on the next occasion then he would go to prison.
