Police make plea as car is vandalised in Pollock Mews

Police have appealed for information after a car was vandalised in Lurgan at the weekend.

The criminal damage took place at Pollock Mews, according to the PSNI.

They said that sometime overnight between Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4, the car was vandalised.

Blue paint was poured over a black Honda Accord and graffiti daubed on the side.

Police are reminding local residents of the importance of reporting any suspicious activity as soon as it comes to their attention.

A spokesperson said: “This incident happened overnight and there is the chance that someone may have noticed a person or persons around the area prior to or after the event. You know your own area best .

“Please do not hesitate to contact us if you notice something out of the ordinary. We would much rather take the time to check a report out and find it is nothing untoward than miss the opportunity to catch a criminal. You can contact us on 0845 600 8000.”
