After a row with his partner a drunken man drove off but police were informed and he was detected on the Lough Road in Lurgan.

Ciaran Joseph Scott (35), Church Place, Lurgan, was banned from driving for 12 months last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for an excess alcohol offence. He was also fined £300.

The court heard that on February 4 this year at 2.10am after a verbal altercation with his partner Scott, who was intoxicated, left in his car. After failing a preliminary breath test an evidential test gave a reading of 64.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said it was not the highest reading.
