Lurgan dancer Ryan McShane has started a two month tour with Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole and will be coming to the Waterfront Hall next month.
Ryan, a former student at Brownlow College, is part of a 10 person dancing extravaganza ‘A Night To Remember’ which is already almost sold out.
The 48 date tour will span across England, Scotland and Wales and will eventually come to Ireland with a date at The Waterfront in Belfast set for March 21 and Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin on March 22.
Ryan, whose mum Cathy and dad Aubrey still live in Lurgan, is excited about the tour which had its opening night last week in London.
The 30-year-old dancer has already achieved fame after appearing last year on Britain’s Got Talent.
Ryan with his dancing partner Ksenia Zsikhotska set up the troupe Kings and Queens with four other couples and thoroughly impressed the show’s hosts as well as the public.
Up to 15 million people watched their audition and after avid voting, a further 16 million watched them compete in the final of the popular TV show.
Ryan has known Brendan Cole for some years as he acted as a choreographer on the BBC hit show Strictly Come Dancing.
When he left the University of Ulster where he studied Sports Science, he moved to London and soon built up a career as a talented dancer and teacher.
He still teaches and his business has spiralled with the higher TV profile.
The former Glenavon player is thrilled to be part of this production with Brendan Cole.
Ryan, who started dancing in the Norma Martin Dance School in Lurgan, described the show as a ‘journey through lots of different dance styles’, particularly ballroom and Latin but also taking in other styles such as country and contemporary.
The show which is coming to the Waterfront has a full orchestra and 10 dancers.
