Shankill Parish Church will be closed over the weekend due to safety concerns over the weather vane on the landmark spire.
In a statement on the church Facebook page it was announced: “Due to unforeseen circumstances the Church building is closed this weekend due to safety concerns about the weather vane.
“Engineers have been on site today and have advised that services be moved to the Parochial Hall until an inspection can be carried out on Monday.”
Please note the Christingle service will be held in the Parish Hall instead of the Church.
The Christingle is a short, child friendly service for the whole family to come enjoy together.
Children may wish to bring an unwrapped gift for the Salvation Army appeal.
The church also asked parishioners to allowa little more time for parking as the Church grounds are not open.
They tahnked everyone for their assistance and understanding.
