In 1939, Jack Hunter founded 1st Waringstown Boys’ Brigade... fast forward to 2014 and the BB in Waringstown is now entering it’s 75th year!
To mark this milestone, 1st Waringstown are planning two special events in November for current and past members.
On Saturday, November 15, there will be a 75th Anniversary Dinner in Brownlow House and on Sunday, November 16, there will be a BB parade in Waringstown followed by a Service of Thanksgiving in Waringstown Presbyterian Church.
The chaplains, captain, officers and boys of the current company are extending a very warm invitation to anyone who has had any
association with 1st Waringstown BB.
They would like as many people as possible to come along and join them in celebrating their 75th birthday.
So if you are a past member (boy or leader) you are invited to attend the anniversary dinner on Saturday, November 15 and join the current BB company for a nostalgic parade in Waringstown the following afternoon.
Also, if anyone has any old photographs relating to 1st Waringstown BB it would be greatly appreciated if the company could borrow them.
If you would like more information about the events or if you have any old photos please email firstname.lastname@example.org, send a message to Waringstown BB via Facebook or call or text your details to 0797 055 5303.
