Rehearsals started last week and the show opens at The Waterfront on this Thursday December 17 until Saturday December 19.

Sponsored by SPAR, it is a heart-warming and family friendly spectacular which will take audiences on a magical festive journey through a selection box of music, readings, song and dance.

This year’s Music Box is an entirely new production filled with music gems past, present, traditional and contemporary.

Presented by Peter Corry, the show features guest dancers from the Strictly Come Dancing tour and internationally renowned West End leading lady Joanna Ampil, star of Miss Saigon, Les Misérables and Cats.

Also back by popular demand is Game of Thrones star, Ian McElhinney who returns after his appearance in the show last year.

All this in addition to the very finest local talent, guest choirs, ballet girls and boy trebles who together will delight, entrance and get everyone in festive mood!

And after last year’s success, title sponsor SPAR is excited to once again launch a series of activities and events to celebrate their continued support of the family show.

“The Music Box is ‘the big show with the big heart.’ Our overriding aim is to capture the magic of Christmas and send everyone home with a huge smile on their faces. With so much variety and so many different elements, The Music Box will appeal to all generations, so it really is the show that brings families together at this special time of year… what Christmas is all about.” said Peter Corry)
