A short film written by a Lurgan teacher has picked up a BAFTA award.

Boogaloo and Graham won Best Short Film at tonight’s awards.

The film, written by Ronan Blaney who teaches English at Brownlow College, focuses on two young boys in 1970s Belfast who discover the facts of life with the help of their pet chickens.

Directed by Michael Lennox, the short film has also been nominated for a Oscar.
