THE Taghnevan community is conducting a survey in the neighbourhood focusing on the real issues affecting the community.
Sinn Fein Councillor Mark O’Dowd praised residents who are to carry out the community-driven survey which has been undertaken in conjunction with the Housing Executive, council and Southern Health Board.
He said: “This community survey will bring a focus to the issues that have plagued the flat complexes and the areas surrounding them. It will also seek to identify emerging issues and the information gathered will be used to address these problems and seek lasting solutions.”
Calling on local residents to play their part by filling in the survey Cllr O’Dowd said: “The residents of this area have to be commended for their hard work and determination to reclaim their community from anti-social elements. I would urge everyone to take a couple of minutes and complete this survey so that a structured and focused approach can be developed and implemented by the relevant statutory agencies.”
