Suspect (19) faces hoax bomb call charges

A 19-year-old man arrested yesterday (Monday) in Craigavon has been charged with a series of terror offences.

Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have charged the man with a series of offences linked to making hoax bomb calls and placing hoax devices.

“The offences are alleged to have been committed last summer in the Craigavon area and the investigation by Serious Crime Branch has been running since then,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

The suspect faces 14 charges of making hoax bomb calls, three charges of placing hoax devices and one charge of wasting police time.

He is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
