Chairperson of the Royal British Legion Lurgan and Brownlow Branch has said that their first ever coffee morning was a great success.
Speaking following the event on Saturday morning Roberta McNally said: “I was absolutely delighted with the numbers that turned out to support our first ever Coffee Morning in aid of the Poppy Appeal 2012/2013.
“A total of £400 was raised meaning that this years poppy collection target has been reached.
“I was deeply humbled by the generosity of local traders who donated food for the event and also to those who helped on the morning. It was a team effort and one that we hope to do again in the future.
“Lurgan and Brownlow Royal British Legion would like to thank everyone who took time to come along and show their support and for all of the donations a big thank you.”
