A Lurgan woman who thought she could drive her partner’s car because she had fully comprehensive insurance found this was not the case.
Sinead McVeigh (22), Lurgantarry, admitted driving without having insurance on March 2 this year. She was fined £150 and given six penalty points last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
The court heard she was stopped while driving on the Lake Road in Craigavon.
She thought she was covered to drive because she had comprehensive insurance for her own car but this was not the case.
Mr Pat McMahon, representing McVeigh, said that she and her partner both had cars which were comprehensively insured. He added it was a mistake on her part in believing she was insured.
