Three more charged over Easter trouble

Three more men have appeared in court charged with offences arising out of the Easter Monday trouble in Lurgan.

They stood together in the dock last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court as the charges were put to them.

Ciaran Magee (24), Lake Street, Lurgan, is charged with threatening violence and making an affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a female and criminal damage to a wing mirror of a police vehicle on March 28.

Gerard Majella McConville (53), Kilwilkie Road, Lurgan, faces charges of affray and assault on the female as well as three allegations of obstructing police.

Sean Gerard McConville (22), Kilwilkie Road, Lurgan, is also accused of affray and three charges of obstruction.

A public prosecutor said a full file was required and the matters were adjourned until July 6.
