While out celebrating St Patrick’s Day a woman threw a bottle and struck the bumper of a car, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Wednesday.

Magdalena Wozniak (24), Rectory Road, Lurgan, admitted disorderly behaviour in William Street on March 18 this year.

She was bound over in the sum of £300 for 12 months to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The court heard that around 2.10am a police mobile patrol saw the defendant throw a bottle which struck the front bumper of a car.

Wozniak, who was intoxicated, refused to provide her details to police and was abusive to a passenger in the vehicle.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said she had been out celebrating St Patrick’s Day and was involved in an exchange of words with the occupants of a car.

He added that she had a lot of alcohol taken but she accepted she should not have behaved in this manner.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said he did not see the need for a report in this case and hoped it was just a one-off incident.
