Budding chefs across the Borough have until Friday, June 10, to enter an exciting culinary competition showcasing the Borough’s best leftover and rescue recipes!

Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the competition is in support of Lurgan being chosen as a pilot for the first ever official ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ town!

Inventive foodies are being invited to submit their best leftover and rescue recipe ideas, which can be either a starter, main or dessert and which should include at least one ingredient which is a ‘leftover’.

It could, for example, include leftovers such as pasta, unused bread or wilting fruit and vegetables – giving them a new lease of life as they are transformed into a delicious dish!

There will be goody bags for the three winners, packed full to the brim of culinary essentials!

To be in with a chance to win upload your recipe into the comments section of this news story on the Council’s Facebook page (please note the COUNCIL’s page not the Lurgan Mail page) or private message them at www.facebook.com/armaghbanbridgecraigavon or post it to: Recipe Competition, Carn Depot, Carn Industrial Estate, Carn Road, BT63 5WG.
