Lurgan man and GAA stalwart Michael McConville has died suddenly today.
The 31-year-old died earlier this morning.
Mr McConville was an avid GAA fan, a talented player and a member of Clann Eireann GAC in Lurgan.
He was widely respected in his community.
As a player he won many cups and medals and also coached and managed the younger teams.
Many of his friends have been sending messages of support to all his family.
Local Sinn Fein Councillor Keith Haughian described the news as “tragic”.
A spokesperson from the PSNI said: “Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man aged in his 30’s whose body was found in the North Circular Road area of Lurgan this morning, Friday 01 January.
“A post mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death that is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
