After he got money from an injury claim an 18 year old man decided to buy drugs and was caught with 900 diazepam tablets in his possession.
Tiarnan Scullion, no fixed abode, appeared via videolink from Hydebank last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
He admitted possession of the tablets, a class C drug, on February 8 this year and was given a two month custodial sentence and ordered to pay a £25 offender’s levy. A barrister for Scullion said he did not know what the tablets were but thought they were a legal high.
He explained that the defendant had got money from a personal injury claim and bought drugs with it. He also had £20 notes on him.
